Scienetix Microbial DNA Pool-1 (SMD-P1) is a mixture of extracted DNA of 5 organisms known to cause human microbial infections. SMD Pool-1 was prepared with DNA extracted from pure microorganisms isolated from human specimens. SMD Pool-1 is suitable for evaluating DNA extraction methods and molecular diagnostic assays. Therefore, SMD Pool-1 is suitable for investigating and eliminating nucleic acid extraction bias influencing diagnostic outcomes. Additionally, SMD Pool-1 is ideal for developing and validating molecular diagnostics tools for microbial infections.

  • SMD Pool contains extracted DNA of microorganisms and is not biohazardous. However, standard precautions should be followed when handling SMD Pool-1 to prevent cross-contamination.
  • For handling and disposal, consult the CDC recommendations and local regulations.
  • The matrix used in this product is tested by qPCR and NGS and found to contain no microorganisms
  • Do not use past labeled expiration date.
  • To avoid cross-contamination, use sterile tips.
